Company and Job Summary

Established in 2013, N2 Biomedical provides coating and surface treatment development and application services for implantable and other medical devices utilized in orthopedic, cardiovascular, and other healthcare end-markets. The Company operates from a 30,000 square foot facility in Bedford, MA and services many of the world’s leading orthopedic OEMs. N2 is seeking a [Business Development Associate] who will play an integral role in the generation and on-boarding of new business opportunities, and will be focused on enhancing the Company’s identification of, and connection with, new prospective customers in the Company’s target markets. These companies include those in the large joint, spinal, and vascular sectors that may leverage N2’s unique surface treatment and coating solutions to enhance various characteristics of implantable and other medical devices.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand N2’s target customer landscape and proactively identify companies that operate within those sectors
  • Work with senior leadership to build and maintain the Company’s Salesforce database of target prospective customers
  • Mine Salesforce database for new opportunities, update existing contacts, input new contacts, and identify contacts that should be actionable in the short, medium and long term
  • Identify key conferences and meetings where target lists can be developed
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and analyses
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with clients and within the industry
  • (With training) Engage with potential new business prospects via email and phone to determine interest and funnel to appropriate N2 senior leadership

Educational/Work Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Degree in a healthcare related field is a plus
  • Candidates should have a minimum of two years post-graduate experience in an inside or outside sales role with demonstrated experience engaging with third parties to sell complex products/services
